I'm Still Learning

First of all I would like to apologize for the lack of an update today. I was driving to New York City for the first half of the day and touring New York City for the other half, but that was not the only reason there was no update today. I started this webcomic as a challenge for myself to learn a new format for writing and see if I could make something that I am proud of. Part of that learning process is making mistakes. I am coming to the realization that mistakes have been made over the span of Cold Case.
I re-read Cold Case the other night and noticed a slew of issues with it. The biggest of which was my awkward pacing. After the re-read, I started considering options on how to make it better. I thought about going back and revising what I had so far, but it would be a lot of work and I am not sure it would be worth it.
At the time I started Cold Case I had just read Problem Sleuth (It's a good read, go check it out if you haven't). I was interested in trying my hand at a noir style story. Then I realized I didn't know anything about the 50s/60s, so I made it a murder mystery in present day. Then I realized that I had never been to New York City (until today!) and I am not that good at writing stories set in modern times.
Anyway, I'll get to the point. I am discontinuing Cold Case. The story will stay on the site and nothing is happening to Knights of Fellwood; I am just going to stop working on Cold Case and replace it with another long form story that is more in my element.
On the bright side, this means that I will be able to provide better content for all of you. I am going to be releasing a teaser for the new story very soon. Hopefully that will happen around Wednesday, but I won't know until I get my work schedule for this week.
The one thing I can tell you now is that the new story is called The Eyes of Urilis. I will tweet an update when I know when that teaser and the first update will come out. Also, if you have any questions either tweet them to me or email me at brennen@deyfh.com.
    Thanks for reading,
    Brennen
